The question

Details had to be carried between the customer inquiry, quote, contract and job.The aim was one continuous case with clear responsibilities.

What was built

A public website and a local application for quotes and jobs.Customer details, documents, appointments and billing are linked to the same case.

Approach

The starting point was the full path of a job.We mapped where details originate, who checks them and where they are needed again.The shared case record follows that path.

Limits and risks

Local data needs reliable backups.The application keeps thirty backups and writes files so an interrupted save does not leave a partial file.Calendar access is limited to the session; guests are not invited.Legal and tax review of the contract texts is still outstanding.

What comes next

Google Calendar sync still needs to be checked with the business account.Adapting the core for other service businesses is a possible later step.
